Coffee Chat

Coffee Chat at Michigan's Bloomfield Hills Schools

Have a seat and chat with Rob Glass, Superintendent, about education issues and Bloomfield Hills Schools. New this year, Rob will take the opportunity every few months to chat in an unscripted session about Bloomfield Hills Schools and the issues facing the district. In this first session, Rob discuss education funding, classroom changes, and the overall culture and philosophy of BHS.

The final Coffee Chats of the school year will be conducted by the following students:

  • Sarah Kovan is a junior at Bloomfield Hills High School. She previously served as a writer on the Andover Shield. Her first year on the Bloomfield Hawkeye was spent as the managing editor of the entertainment section, the Flyer.
  • Yusra Niazi, is a senior at Bloomfield Hills High School. This is her second year on the staff of the school newspaper. She is currently an Associate Editor for Section A, which is the news section. She also overlooks all of the work that goes into that section with the help of Narmeen Rehman.
  • Maitreyi Anantharaman is a junior at Bloomfield Hills High School and an associate editor for the Bloomfield Hawkeye's lifestyle section. In addition, she enjoys participating on the school's forensics team and reading.
  • Courtney Zhu is a junior at Bloomfield Hills HS. She was once a writer on the Andover Shield. Now a part of the Bloomfield Hawkeye publication, Courtney is the associate editor of the Lifestyle section. Her involvement with newspaper has inspired her to possibly pursue a career in broadcast journalism.
  • Narmeen Rehman is currently a Junior at Bloomfield Hills High School. This is currently her second year on staff, in the previous year Narmeen was a staff writer and page editor for the Andover Shield and she is currently a Managing Editor for Section A (news) of The Hawkeye.
