Bloomfield Baseball League Summer Registration is now open! The summer season runs from June 25-July 29, 2017. Each team will play 10 games per summer and games are scheduled at 6:30 Sunday through Friday. Pinto l and ll (1st and 2nd grade ) Divisions will be combined, Mustang lll and lV (3rd and 4th grade) Divisions will be combined. Registration is now open for Bloomfield Hills Schools 2017 summer camps! BHS has many different summer camp opportunities for students of all ages and for all interests throughout Oakland County. Students can explore the outdoors and have an exciting educational experience.
Explore every nook and cranny of our 90-acre farm! In two separate sessions, we will explore the diverse animal, vegetable and mineral phenomena dwelling here, comparing seasonal changes. In two separate sessions, campers will gain experience and appreciation of nature and how her multiple components interact. Campers will develop naturalist skills through hiking, utilizing field guides, digging in the soil, foraging wild and domestic plants and, of course, appreciating and caring for our farm animals. Summer Youth Soccer Camp is led by Bloomfield Hills boys soccer coach, Dougie Macaulay. Dougie is a UEFA B licensed coach also holding an Advanced National Diploma from NSCAA and a National Youth License from USSF. This camp will be a good combination of soccer skills and learning combined with some fun soccer exercises to offer both challenges and enjoyment. the camp will end each day with an after lunch swim at the lake. An early morning drop off time off 8:30 a.m. will be included for those that require it. Students will embark on a journey to investigate the imaginative world of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) within a fun and supportive learning environment. We will be doing hands on learning activities including using a computer software program to design their very own figure and print it on our 3D printers and broadcasting the students on our cable TV show to reward the winning popsicle bridge design. They will also be exploring a light switch power circuit and learn Math through fun group games. Lastly, students will be exposed to FIRST Robotics through a demonstration from a FIRST Team within their age group.
