Black Hawks Football Earn First Ever Win!

The boys Black Hawks Football team came back to down Southfield-Lanthrup 21-14 for an inaugural football victory on September 27th at Dauch Field.

After opening 0-4 against some of the strongest teams in Oakland County, the Black Hawks earned the first football win in the history of the high school on its very first homecoming.

The win was big for everyone involved in the program, but truly an important and memorable one for the seniors, said head coach Dan Loria. Our senior players have worked very hard through the transition and exemplified what needed to be done in bringing the two schools together. Early on we as a team came together and began Friday nights together.

Senior Michael Pickens rushed for two touchdowns (21 and 11 yards) to lead Bloomfield Hills. Senior quarterback Spencer McCourt tossed a 14-yard touchdown pass to senior Khalil Gracey. McCourt finished the game with 253 yards passing. Junior Kyle Przbylski anchored the Bloomfield Hills defense with 16 tackles.
