Welcome to Bloomfield Hills High School! I am proud to serve as the principal of BHHS and thank you for your support of our school and our district.
Bloomfield Hills High School is the product of the consolidation of Andover High School (1955 – 2013) and Lahser High School (1967 – 2013). The 9th Grade Campus, set on the former site of Hickory Grove school, is projected to house approximately 400 students in the fall of 2013. The Main Campus, for 10th – 12th grade students, is set on the former Lahser school site and is projected to house approximately 1,300 students in the fall of 2013. Model High School will occupy the former Pine Lake school site for the 2013/14 and 2014/15 school years.
In the fall of 2015, the doors will open to the new Bloomfield Hills High School, currently under construction on the former Andover school site. This new facility will house Bloomfield Hills High School, grades 9-12, provide a permanent facility on-site for Model High School, and offer highly collaborative and technical learning spaces for our high school students. We invite you to follow along in the construction process via the virtual tour on our website, news updates, and via social media.
Our current high school curriculum and programming is rich and robust, offering choices to our students and creating opportunities for their future. Our students are guided and supported by top professionals in and out of the classroom and many students expand their school day with co-curricular and athletic experiences.
We are surrounded by an energetic and involved parent community and greatly appreciate all of the time and effort they put into our school. Please take a moment to browse the PTO section of our website and see how you too can become active in our school community.
Finally, if you’re visiting our website from beyond our district and think you’re ready to take the next step in offering a quality high school experience for your child, contact us today for more information or to schedule a tour.
Thank you and Go Black Hawks!
