  • BACK TO SCHOOL NEWSLETTER

    Posted August 28, 2014

    Dear Parents:

It is my hope that you and your family have had a wonderful summer and that the students are rested up for a new school year. This newsletter provides information you will need to know prior to the start of school, and also information that you can keep close at hand for reference throughout the school year.

Communication with our BHMS parents is a priority for the staff at Bloomfield Hills Middle School. Should you have any questions or concerns throughout the school year, please do not hesitate to visit the main office, call or email at any time. Email addresses for all staff can be found on our website. Teachers also have voicemail extensions, which will be given to you at Curriculum Night. Your comments, suggestions and input are welcome and appreciated.

Please mark your calendar for our first PTO-sponsored welcome back event. An Ice Cream Social will be held on the BHMS grounds on Friday, September 12, from 5 until 7 p.m. Stay tuned for additional information from the PTO.

The BHMS staff looks forward to partnering with you and your child to make this school year a very successful and happy one. In the meantime, enjoy the remainder of your summer!

    Sincerely,

    Randy English, Principal

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: In past years BHMS has been a peanut-free building. This year we will be going to an entirely nut-free building. Students should not bring food, including lunches and snacks, containing any peanuts or tree nuts, nut butters, oils or other nut products or by products. We will provide additional guidance on this in a separate e-mail, but wanted you to be aware of this significant change in building procedure which goes into effect on the first day of school.
