CHAMBER MUSIC @ BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP PUBLIC LIBRARY

Please join us for a Special Concert in Memory of Larry Sabbath on Friday, December 8 at 7:00 p.m. (after Library hours - please note new time of 7:00 p.m.)

Larry Sabbath, who served for over twenty years as Treasurer of the Friends of the Library, started collecting books as a teenager.  His passion for old books led him to the Friends of the Library book sales, first as a customer but eventually as a dedicated member of the Friends.  He was a warm and friendly man who enjoyed interacting with customers at the book sales.  Larry also loved the chamber music concerts here at the Library.  He rarely missed one and greeted attendees enthusiastically.  This special concert honors Larry as a true Friend of the Library and this concert series.

The special talent for this concert is violinist Aaron Berofsky and pianist Christopher Harding. The evening program includes Sonata No. 8 in G Major for Piano and Violin, Op 30 No. 3 by Ludwig van Beethoven, Five Melodies, for Violin and Piano, Op. 35 by Sergei Prokofiev, Sonata for Violin and Piano by Claude Debussy, and more.

Spend an enjoyable Friday evening at the beautiful Bloomfield Township Public Library.  Relax and enjoy the music!  Mark your calendar for our next chamber music concert on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.

This program is free and open to everyone. No registration is required. This concert series is sponsored by the Friends of Bloomfield Township Public Library. For more information, call the Library at (248) 642-5800 or visit our website at www.btpl.org.
