News from the West Bloomfield Township Public Library

The Library is a place to come for tech help. Computer assistants are available at the Main Library most evenings and weekends to answer questions about Library computers and other technology. Computer assistants also help Library users during one-on-one tutoring appointments. During these half-hour sessions, users can ask about basic computer skills, email, digital photos, the Internet, Microsoft Office and more. Computer and tablet tutoring are available to residents of West Bloomfield Township and the Library's contract communities. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call the Adult Information desk at (248) 232-2290.

Test Prep for the SAT, ACT and AP Exams

The Library has resources to help students be test ready.

  • The LearningExpress Library offers online practice tests for the PSAT, SAT, ACT and AP exams. Exams are timed to replicate the actual test-taking experience, and the service provides instant online scoring, personalized analysis and recommendations for improving test scores.
  • BrainFuse offers online test preparation for the PSAT, SAT, ACT and AP exams. Live help is available daily from 4 to 10 PM.
  • Gale Courses offers two online courses to help prepare for the SAT or ACT. Both courses are completed online over a six-week schedule. Part I covers reading, writing, English and science questions, and Part 2 helps students master the math section.

Test prep services are available to students with a valid West Bloomfield Township Public Library card. Go to www.westbloomfieldlibrary.org, click "eLibrary" and then "Learning Resource Center."
