Conant Elementary School

As an IB Primary Years Programme school, Conant Elementary “focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside.” Our students participate in project-based learning that reflects the PYP philosophy of an integrated curriculum and incorporates 21st Century skills, global-mindedness, and the Common Core State Standards. We utilize inquiry-based instructional practices that build on children’s natural curiosity and encourage students to use critical thinking skills, reflect on their learning and compassionately develop solutions for real-world problems.

Conant School Mission

To foster inquiry and innovation while preparing active citizens to participate in a global community.

    Posted January 30, 2015

Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-5th grade. The program teaches life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k running event. The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness. This 10 week program is coming to Conant this spring. Girls will meet with coaches Sarah Sivier and Jenna Boettcher on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-5:15. The price of the program is $120 which includes a snack at each session, lesson materials, a water bottle, journal, registration and a shirt for the 5k event. Posted March 28, 2014
