Conant Elementary School

As an IB Primary Years Programme school, Conant Elementary “focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside.” Our students participate in project-based learning that reflects the PYP philosophy of an integrated curriculum and incorporates 21st Century skills, global-mindedness, and the Common Core State Standards. We utilize inquiry-based instructional practices that build on children’s natural curiosity and encourage students to use critical thinking skills, reflect on their learning and compassionately develop solutions for real-world problems.

Conant School Mission

To foster inquiry and innovation while preparing active citizens to participate in a global community.

  • Dogs on School Property

    Posted October 17, 2014

In honor of Dr. Seuss' newly found "lost stories", we offer this reminder . . .

Please don’t forget the District rule.
You may not have a dog at school.
    Not in the front.
    Not in the back.
    Not on a leash.
    Not in a pack.
    Not in the day.
    Not at sports play.
Not at a scheduled school soirée.
Please do not have your dog at school.
    It breaks the rule.
And that’s not cool. - (an original poem by BHMS Secretary, Melanie Parks)

    Posted March 28, 2014

But don’t just stretch before. You have to make sure to do cool-down stretches, too. People forget to do that,” says Robert.
