Bloomfield Hills Schools Announces 2008-2009 Calendar |

 School start and end dates, holiday breaks and other details of the 2008-2009 Bloomfield Hills Schools calendar can now be seen online at www.bloomfield.org by clicking on “The Calendar”.
A new user-friendly online version will allow parents, students, staff and community members to easily see building and district events by day, week or month, and to sort and filter by locations and organization types like PTOs, sports teams and schools. A convenient “At a Glance” calendar is viewable via a link at the bottom of the online calendar page. A print version is expected to be in parent mailboxes by mid-August.
Important dates in the 2008-2009 calendar include:
Tuesday, Sept. 2: First day of school K-12; Half Day for students K-5; Wing Lake students move to new building
Tuesday, Sept. 30: No School K-12 and Wing Lake
Thursday, Oct. 9: No School K-12 and Wing Lake
Friday, Oct. 31: Half Day for K-12 and Wing Lake for Staff Professional Development
Tuesday, Nov. 4: No School K-12 and Wing Lake for Election Day and Staff Professional Development
Tuesday, Nov. 25: Half Day grades 6-8
Wednesday, Nov. 26: No School K-12; Wing Lake Half Day
Thursday/Friday Nov. 27/28: No School K-12 and Wing Lake for Thanksgiving Break
Friday, Dec. 19: Half Day Wing Lake
Monday, Dec. 22, 2008 – Friday, Jan 2, 2009: No School K-12 and Wing Lake for Winter Break
Monday, Jan. 5, 2009: Classes resume for K-12 and Wing Lake
Monday, Jan. 19: No School K-12 and Wing Lake for Martin Luther King Day Observance and Staff Professional Development
Friday, Jan. 23: Half Day K-12
Monday, Jan. 26: Second Semester Begins
Monday – Friday Feb. 16-20: No School K-12 for Mid-Winter Break
Thursday, Feb. 19: Half Day for Wing Lake; Mid-Winter Break begins pm for WL through Friday, Feb. 20
Monday, Feb. 23: School resumes for K-12 and Wing Lake
Tuesday, March 10: MME/ No School except for 11th grade; K-8 Staff Professional Development
Wednesday, March 11: Late start for high school
Friday, March 13: Half Day for Wing Lake
Friday, April 3: Half Day for K-12
Monday – Friday, April 6-10: No School K-12 and Wing Lake for Spring Break
