Middle Schools Print
Young adolescents discover and develop diverse interests and grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally. The combination of a secure environment and knowledgeable staff nurtures that development through academic challenge and creative stimulation.

Students receive the personal attention necessary to encourage habits of good citizenship through an average class size of 25 and a student/staff ratio of 12:1. Core subjects of math, science, reading, writing and social studies are team-taught in uninterrupted blocks of time. Students benefit from the wide variety of exploratory classes in foreign language, practical and fine arts, music, health, physical education, and computer technology. Special enrichment and remedial programs are available for students who learn at their own pace.

"Middle school is full of emotional change. By building bridges between school, home, and community, students develop skills important to healthy adolescent development."
-East Hills Middle School Principal
