ImageWOMEN AND CONTENTMENT: LEARNING TO BE CONTENT WITH YOURSELF AND HOW YOUR HAPPINESS AFFECTS PARENTING ON OCTOBER 14

Parents who are fulfilled and happy in their own lives are better equipped to meet the demands and experience the joys of parenting. But in our fast-paced lives, we often lose track of what truly makes us happy. Dr. Sharon Field Hoffman, College of Education professor at Wayne State University and co-director of WSU’s Center for Self-Determination and Transition, will provide practical strategies that lead to greater personal fulfillment and more-effective parenting.

The presentation is free and open to the public. It will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. at the Gary M. Doyle Center, 7275 Wing Lake Road, Bloomfield Hills 48301, and again at 7 p.m. at Eton Academy, 1755 Melton, Birmingham 48009.
