1st BHS Study Session Monday on School Consolidation |

 The first of three Bloomfield Hills Schools board of education study sessions on school consolidation will occur on Monday, Oct. 13 from 7 to 9 p.m. at West Hills Middle School, 2601 Lone Pine Road in West Bloomfield.
District residents, staff and students are welcome to provide input on school consolidation. In addition, community members can submit comments about school consolidation on the district’s web site at www.bloomfield.org; click on “Strategic Planning 2018”. Board member contact information can also be found on the site.
Two additional meetings will be held this month:
- Tuesday, Oct. 21 at East Hills Middle School, 2800 Kensington Road, Bloomfield Township; and
- Monday, Oct. 27 at Bloomfield Hills Middle School, 4200 W. Quarton Road, Bloomfield Township.
The meetings will be attended by board members and Facilities Master Plan goal team members. The FMP committee has been charged with recommending two school closures by the end of the 2008-2009 school year in accordance with recommendations in the district’s draft strategic plan. The committee will make its recommendation to the board at the Dec. 4 meeting. The board is expected to decide the matter at its Dec. 18 meeting.
