BHS RECOGNIZED AGAIN FOR SOUND FINANCIAL REPORTING PRACTICES |

For the seventh time in seven years, Bloomfield Hills Schools has been recognized for its commitment to the highest standards of school system financial reporting by the Association of School Business Officials International.
ASBO’s prized Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting was bestowed for the district’s fiscal year ending June 30, 2006. The honor is conferred to school systems that have met or exceeded the program’s rigorous standards, as judged by a select review panel.
“Attaining the Certificate of Excellence Award is an important aspect of maintaining the District’s AAA bond rating,” said Tim Weeks, Bloomfield Hills Schools assistant superintendent for business services. “The award adds value by increasing our financial reporting credibility within the District and the broader community, and throughout the financial markets. We save money for our taxpayers because of the competitive pricing we obtain, as people know of our financial credibility and want to do business with us.”
