Charles L. Bowers School Farm

Charles L. Bowers School Farm was purchased in the mid-1960's by the Bloomfield Hills School District to be used as a land laboratory. We are housed on 96 acres within Bloomfield Hills.

Residing at the farm are all animals typical of a working production farm. Sheep, horses, llama and a donkey graze the pastures. We also house poultry of all types, rabbits and goats. Every animal has a purpose here at the farm and farm equipment is used daily to maintain the property as an educational agriculture production enterprise.

Charles L. Bowers Farm is open daily and year-round for various educational programs and community events. Please see "Programs and Events" to find out more detailed hours.

Following in a fall tradition of the last several years, Preservation Bloomfield and the Friends of Preservation Bloomfield will once again host their Annual Corn Roast on Sunday, September 20, 2015, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Bowers School Farm on Square Lake Road between Adams and Opdyke Roads. Admission for the event is $20 for adults; $5 for children under five-years; and children under two are free.
