Charles L. Bowers School Farm was purchased in the mid-1960’s by the Bloomfield Hills School District to be used as a land laboratory. We are housed on 96 acres within Bloomfield Hills.

Residing at the farm are all animals typical of a working production farm. Sheep, horses, llama and a donkey graze the pastures. We also house poultry of all types, rabbits and goats. Every animal has a purpose here at the farm and farm equipment is used daily to maintain the property as an educational agriculture production enterprise.

Charles L. Bowers Farm is open daily and year-round for various educational programs and community events.  Please see “Programs and Events” to find out more detailed hours.

The Charles L. Bowers School Farm is open daily, 365 days a year for farm tours, educational programs, traveling farms and community events. Tours, programs and traveling farms must be scheduled ahead of time and can be booked by calling 248.341.6475.

Community events are held on designated dates throughout the year for everyone to enjoy! Please see our list of Upcoming Events shown on our home page.
