  • Multicultural Night Save the Date - Feb. 27 (6:00-8:00 PM) Sign-Up Information

    Posted January 15, 2015

East Hills Middle School students, families and community will be hosting the 7th Annual Multicultural Night on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM.

It is our goal to showcase an educational and entertaining event that promotes knowledge and understanding about our community’s greatest assets, its abundant diversity. The East Hills PTO needs your assistance to make this event as successful as possible. By partnering with our students, local businesses, families and organizations we will create a truly memorable event. We are requesting donations of ethnic food, goods, gift cards, coupons, monetary support or any other creative donation to enhance our event. For your gracious donation, we will promote your business and/or organization in our event program, a display table will be provided upon request as your showcase and your donation is tax deductible. Donations benefit your business and East Hills Middle School, therefore, we encourage you to come and network with our families in the Bloomfield Hills community.

The East Hills Multicultural Night will feature international performers, ethnic foods, games from around the world, and information stations. This event helps teach our students the lessons of acceptance, understanding, and the importance of sharing a diverse culture with each other. We are building stronger students and a stronger society when we learn to communicate across cultures.

We appreciate your support of this wonderful community event at East Hills Middle School! Please see the attached documents on how to volunteer or to donate.

  • Club Information

    Posted September 19, 2014

Once we establish the level of student interest for each club, we will determine what clubs will run for this school year. Most clubs will begin to start in early October (see attached sheet for more information and specific attached schedules for each club below). Students should listen to both announcements during the lunch hour as well as at the end of the day over the PA for more detailed information.

Clubs meet typically before school (7:00-8:00 AM) or right after school (3:00-4:00 PM). If your son or daughter is currently playing a sport and has paid the $100 pay-to-participate fee that fee covers clubs as well. If they have not paid the $100 pay-to-participate fee, or are not playing a sport, the Club ONLY fee for 2014-2015 is $30. All pay-to-participate fees will need to be paid prior to joining the club. Fees are used to cover stipends for sponsors and the materials used for various clubs activities. See attached document for more information. Please take some time to review the document with your students.
