Eastover Elementary School is a student-centered learning community that values the unique potential of each child. It is a physically and emotionally safe learning environment where students are encouraged to do their personal best and are provided with the knowledge, skills, confidence, and motivation that they need to succeed. This is accomplished by setting high expectations, while respecting the individual needs and abilities of our diverse student population.

At Eastover, we aim to educate the whole child. In addition to a comprehensive curriculum based on the Common Core State Standards, students receive instruction in music, art, Spanish, physical education, and technology. At Eastover, students also engage in learning opportunities that develop their creativity, compassion, and leadership skills.  Character traits are continually taught, modeled, and reinforced through our Positive Behavior Support program. Students are given opportunities throughout the year to make a positive impact at home, in the community, and beyond, through our school-wide sustainability initiative. Our school-wide Visible Thinking initiative provides a culture of thinking that fosters creativity, problem solving, critical thinking, and collaboration.  Eastover's new C.H.E.W. (Cook-Harvest-Eat-Well) initiative combines unique learning opportunities from the Eastover student garden, classroom hydroponic growing systems, and the Eastover mobile kitchen.  Students use these learning tools to learn about the health and environmental benefits of eating locally grown fresh produce.

Please feel free to contact the Eastover main office if you would like to learn more about Eastover or if you would like to schedule a tour. Stop by to witness a dynamic math lesson, wander through our extensive student gardens, or come and see student work on display at one of our student exhibitions.

Thank you for your interest in our school. We look forward to working with you!
