 Eastover is a student-centered learning community that values the unique potential of each child by setting high expectations, while respecting the individual needs and abilities of our diverse student population.

At Eastover, we aim to educate the whole child. In addition to a comprehensive curriculum based on the Common Core State Standards, students receive instruction in music, art, Spanish, physical education, and technology. Students also engage in learning opportunities that develop their creativity, compassion, and leadership skills.  Character traits are continually reinforced through our Positive Behavior Support program. Our Visible Thinking initiative provides a culture of thinking that fosters creativity, problem solving, critical thinking, and collaboration. Students are given opportunities throughout the year to make a positive impact at home, in the community, and beyond, through our school sustainability initiative.

  • 6th Annual Eastover Earth Day Poster Contest

    Need something for the kids to do over Spring Break? Have them participate in the Earth Day Poster Contest! Design and make a poster that features our Earth Day Theme, "Start Today, Save Tomorrow". Winners will be announced at a school assembly on April 21st and will win various "green themed" prizes.     Eastover will be having a cultural awareness day on April 16th. Please contact Roli Singla for any questions at rolisingla@hotmail.com This is strictly a voluntary activity, but we would love all to participate so we can learn from each other.

    See the attached flyer for ideas and suggestion for your children to provide this day. Absolutely no food is allowed for this event.

  • Collecting Box Tops Again

    Box Top Results Are In!

    Mrs. Keenan’s class will enjoy a special reward thanks to the fantastic job they did gathering Box Tops for the most recent collection period! They were the top earners at Eastover, collecting 746 Box Tops!

    Our Eastover family did a great job! 8004 Box Tops were turned in. That’s $800.40 for the school! Thanks to all of you who save Box Tops! Take a look at the chart attached to this Eblast to see how your child’s class is doing.

    Don’t forget that Pump It Up of Auburn Hills has once again donated a jumping/pizza party to the class that turns in the most Box Tops for the school year! The 2nd place class will receive free jump passes to Pump It Up!

    There will be one more collection this school year, so keep your eyes peeled for those little pink logos!

  • Student Placement letter and Questionnaire

    Dear Families,

    The Eastover staff is in the process of making plans for the 2015-2016 school year. Read the letter from Mrs. Crocker, fill out the attached questionnaire by May 1, 2015 and submit to the office. Placements received after this date will not be accepted. Please fill out for the 4th graders as well, meetings will take place between Eastover and East Hills too.

  • Eastover's Eagle Talons Cart

    Dear Families,

    We have made some changes to our school-wide positive behavior intervention support. One of these exciting changes is the introduction of the new Talon Tokens children can earn for everyday SOARing behavior. Each day children have an opportunity to earn Talon tokens for exhibiting our SOAR expectations: self-control, on-task, acceptance, and respect. The children can then spend these tokens on our new Eagles Cart for prizes. This way every child has an opportunity to earn something. We are still doing SOAR cards, which is a random drawing each week. Children who earn SOAR cards are truly going above and beyond the behavior expectations. The first time our Eagles Cart will go around to each classroom in the school is the last week in March. Children will also be able to sign-up for one of our big event rooms, which will take place on April 1st. There is a link below for families to sign-up to bring the cart around to a classroom at the end of March and help children shop. We are excited about this opportunity for our children and encouraging SOAR behavior everyday. Thanks for your support.

    Once a teacher signs up for a time slot, then parents you can go in and view the sign-up-genius to take a slot with that teacher. Please let us know if you have any questions.

  • Pirates and Princesses: A High Seas Soiree

    Students in grades 1-5 (including children of faculty) are invited to Pirates and Princesses: A High Seas Soiree, on Friday, May 8, from 5 - 7 p.m. at the 9th Grade Campus. This themed scavenger hunt will donate all proceeds to childen with cancer at St. Jude's Hospital. Cost $15/per child and $5/per adult. Reserve tickets by emailing highseassoiree@gmail.com.
