Eastover is a student-centered learning community that values the unique potential of each child by setting high expectations, while respecting the individual needs and abilities of our diverse student population.
At Eastover, we aim to educate the whole child. In addition to a comprehensive curriculum based on the Common Core State Standards, students receive instruction in music, art, Spanish, physical education, and technology. Students also engage in learning opportunities that develop their creativity, compassion, and leadership skills. Character traits are continually reinforced through our Positive Behavior Support program. Our Visible Thinking initiative provides a culture of thinking that fosters creativity, problem solving, critical thinking, and collaboration. Students are given opportunities throughout the year to make a positive
impact at home, in the community, and beyond, through our school
Come listen to our Superintendent, Rob Glass, on October 7th at 7 pm. There will be child care provided.
Eastover students spent the day learning about “self-control, being on task, acceptance and respect” (SOAR). At the end of the day, everyone, including the Eastover Eagle mascot, joined to practice their new skills such as using sign language for an applause, being respectful listeners, and singing/signing the Eastover theme song.
Conant is hosting a FREE Math Pentathlon Orientation Workshop, and they would like to invite other friends from around the district to join them! Generally these sessions cost attendees $15; however, parent Jas Mann, arranged for this opportunity for our community to learn about Math Pentathlon and their games free of charge!
This training session will be held at Conant Elementary (4100 West Quarton) on October 10, 2014, from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
All interested adults can register for the free workshop using the following link and the promo code "hosting": http://www.mathpentath.org/calendar/FALL/Fall_Michigan.htm
