Biff students won eight awards in eight categories at the Sixth Annual John Drury High School Radio Awards held April 26 on the campus of North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. Based on the number of award winners and nominees, WBFH tied for 1st Place, Best High School Station with WLTL located in LaGrange, Illinois. It was the third year in a row that WBFH had won or tied for Best High School Station!

We survived Biffstock! Biff DJ's were on the air live last Friday for 24 non-stop hours of music, live bands and support of community radio. You can still email your pledges to TheBiff@Radio.FM. Two hundred people saw six area bands perform in the Andover gym: Tom and the Sportscasters, Release the Bear, Crashlight, Monkey Jacket, Astro Projection and Alls Quiet on the Western Front. A $5 donation at the door went to support community radio. Biffstock raised over $3000.00 in cash and pledges.

WBFH was named the 2008 Michigan High School Station of the Year by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters at the MABF Awards Luncheon held in the DeVos Place in Grand Rapids March 11. Details in What's New!

Congrats also to former Biffer Heather Catallo (Andover '94) who won an MAB Broadcast Excellence Award for Best News Reporter for Market 1-TV. Heather is an Investigative News Reporter and Weekend Anchor on Channel 7 in Detroit.

Two WBFH sports broadcasters were asked by the MHSAA to webcast the the Boys Basketball Class D final live from the Breslin Student Events Center in East Lansing March 15. The announcers were Andover junior Billy Whiting and Andover senior Lloyd Praedel. The webcast can be heard as a recent archived event on www.mhsaa.tv. The Biff Staff salutes former Biffer Scott "The Gator" Anderson who is the co-host of The Big Show which is simulcast on both WXYT 1270 AM and now on 97.1 FM from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
