On Friday, September 15th the girls and boys cross country teams competed in the MSU-Spartan Invitational. The varsity girls scored 686 points, placed 25th as a team. The jv girls scored 814 points, placed 29th as a team. The varsity boys scored 742 points, placed 30th as a team. The jv boys scored 695 points, placed 22nd as a team. Overall, 5 athletes beat their 2 mile goal times and 12 athletes ran either their season/career personal records.
On Monday, September 18 the Bloomfield Hills boys varsity tennis team defeated Rochester Adams 9-0. Bloomfield is the #1 ranked, division 1 team in the state. They play Tuesday at Country Day (3:30), Friday at Cranbrook (3:30) and a multi-team tournament Saturday at BHHS and Brother Rice. Go Hawks!
Bloomfield Hills High School will host the Beaumont Student Heart Check on Saturday, October 14 from 9-4 p.m. for ages 13-18. Students do not need to be an athlete to be registered. To register your student CLICK HERE.
The boys hockey program will be accepting players for JV and varsity teams this year. Tryouts will take place October 31st and November 1st and 2nd at the Detroit Skate Club.
Senior Olivia Brack was recently featured in the Detroit Free Press talking about her role as as kicker for the Black Hawks football team. Olivia’s steady presence played a role in the Black Hawks winning the Oakland Activities Association Blue Division last season. She had 32 points with only two misses and only two or three blocks. Bloomfield Hills, Birmingham Groves, and Birmingham Seaholm have unified for the 2017-18 and the 2018-19 seasons! Families must pay the Pay-to-Participate fee before participating in any sport, which includes try-outs. This fee can only be paid online or through the Athletics and Recreation Department located at the Doyle Center. Pay-to-Participate Form
