Boys Basketball Wins Season Opener

Black Hawks Boys Basketball vs. Plymouth ChristianThe Black Hawks boys basketball team started the season off with a win on Tuesday, December 5, against Plymouth Christian High School. The game was back and forth for three and a half quarters. In the middle of the fourth quarter, the Black Hawks pulled away and recorded a 59-48 victory. 

The team was led by senior shooting guard Tyler Canfield who dropped 28 points, including six three pointers. Senior center, Grant Ellis, scored 9 points and came away with some tough rebounds. Dean Hysni contributed with 8 points and played strong defense throughout the game. Joe Hecker battled inside and finished with 6 points, while Ben Mutz chipped in with 5 points.

Congratulations to Coach Kurajian on his first win as the Black Hawks varsity basketball coach. The Black Hawks resume action away on Tuesday, December 12, against Cass Techincal High School at 5:30 p.m.
