Black Hawks Vs. Hazel Park Vikings

Last week brought the second competition date for the Black Hawks, and their first away match of the season against the Hazel Park Vikings.

On the Boys side: Varsity pulled ahead with an early 10 point lead from the baker games and secured their win after game one, finishing the match with a score of 18-12. The JV team was tied after the baker games and took a lead after game one, but couldn't hold on and lost 19-11.

On the Girls side: The Varsity team struggled after falling behind by 10 after the baker games, and despite close games in the singles lost 26-4. The JV team finally got to showcase their skills in what was technically their first match of the season and swept the match taking every point, winning 30-0.


Home Opener

The 2016/2017 season kicked off with a home opener against the Ferndale Eagles. The Black Hawks swept the crossover match with all competing teams taking home a win!

On the boys side: Varsity won 18-12 after game two putting up their highest game total to date (1022), after falling behind in game one. JV pulled ahead early taking both Baker games, and finished strong with a final score of 27-3.
On the girls side: Varsity maintained their early Baker game lead as well, only allowing for a few points from the Ferndale team with a 26-4 win. The JV girls still await their chance for a win due to lack of a Ferndale team
