State Champions Celebrations

Congratulations to the Black Hawks varsity boys tennis team for earning the title of 2017 Division 1 State Champions! A reception was held in their honor at the high school on Thursday, November 2nd. The team was also honored during a school-wide pep assembly on Thursday, October 26th.

Boys Tennis Earns 2017 Division 1 State Championship!

Congratulation to the Black Hawks varsity boys tennis team for earning the title of 2017 Division 1 State Champions! Individuals championships include Constantin Hemmrich at #3 singles (third straight individual state championship), Cade Burman and Sebastian Burman at #1 doubles, and Chaz Blamo and Vik Chakrabortty at #2 doubles. State runner-up players include Andrew Zhang at #1 singles, and Adrian Wilen and Chris Sauer at #3 doubles. We are so proud of our State Champions! Go Black Hawks!

Andrew Zhang Featured on MHSAA

"Zhang moved up to No. 1 singles this season after claiming the No. 2 championship at last season's Lower Peninsula Division 1 Finals, and he hasn't missed a beat. The Black Hawks' top player won his Regional last week, defeating Clarkston standout Luke Baylis 6-0, 6-4, in the No. 1 championship match to earn the Michigan Army National Guard "Performance of the Week." He has only one loss this fall as he enters this weekend's Finals the second seed in his flight." Read more


Black Hawks Win Regional Tournament!

The #1 ranked boys tennis team won the Regional Tournament on Thursday, October 12th. The team remains undefeated. Go Black Hawks!

Boys Tennis Defeats Northville, Record 23-0

The boys tennis team took on Northville on Monday, October 9 at home and won 7-1. Tuesday, October 10 they defeated Ann Arbor Pioneer. They remain undefeated this season 23-0! Go Black Hawks!


Black Hawks Win League Tournament

The #1 ranked boys varsity tennis team won their league tournament on Thursday, October 5th. The Black Hawks reached the finals in each of the 9 spots (1-4 singles, 1-5 doubles).


Boys Tennis Beats Novi 7-2

In a Tuesday, October 3rd tennis match that was closer than the final score, Bloomfield Hills beat Novi 7-2. Novi came into the match as the 2nd ranked team in the state. The Black Hawks remain the top high school tennis team in Michigan undefeated 17-0!


Black Hawks Defeat Clarkston 8-1

The boys tennis team defeated Clarkson 8-1 on Thursday, September 28. The team plays Novi on Tuesday, October 3. The Black Hawks are undefeated 16-0 this year and are ranked first in Division 1!


Boys Tennis Shuts Out Cranbrook and Athens

On Friday, September 22 Bloomfield Hills shut out Cranbrook 9-0, on Monday, September 25 they beat Detroit Country Day 8-1 and on Tuesday, September 26 they shutout Athens 9-0. The Black Hawks are undefeated 15-0 this year and are going for their second state D1 title in 3 years!


Black Hawks Beat Rochester Adams

On Monday, September 18 the Bloomfield Hills boys varsity tennis team defeated Rochester Adams 9-0. Bloomfield is the #1 ranked, division 1 team in the state.


Boys Tennis Defeats Seaholm

On Thursday, September 14 the boys varsity tennis team beats Seaholm 9-0. Go Black Hawks!


Black Hawks Beat West Bloomfield and Troy

The #1 ranked varsity A boys tennis team beat West Bloomfield Monday, September 11 by a score of 9-0. The boys beat Groves the previous week 9-0. On Tuesday, September 12 the Black Hawks beat Troy 8-1.


Boys Tennis Beat Groves & Ann Arbor

On Tuesday, September 5 the boys varsity A tennis team beat Groves 9-0. On Wednesday, September 6 the boys varsity A tennis team beat Ann Arbor Huron 6-2, partial payback for last years 2 point loss in the State Championships. Over the last 2 years the team has finished 1 and 2nd in the State at the Division 1 level!
