You will not be able to practice without the following: A current physical, AND a current pay-to-play on file with the school district. There are three ways to turn the physical form in:

1. Athletic trainer 248.341.57612.
2. Athletic coordinator 248.341.57693.
3. Drop them off in the main office.

MHSAA Region 8-1 Championships

On Friday, October 27th the girls and boys cross country teams travelled to Lake St. Clair Metropark for the MHSAA Region 8-1 Championships. The varsity girls scored 91 points, placed 3rd as a team and were led by all-region runner (top 15) Shelby Jenkins’ 10th place finish. The girls team qualified to the state finals (top 3 teams) for the first time since 2013, and Shelby moved up on the all-time “Best of Bloomfield Hills” top 30 list to #14. The other varsity runners were: Abigail LeFlore (18th place), Samantha Yamin (20th place), Delace Jia (21st place), Isadora Halsband (22nd place), Luca Elena Barnett (26th place) and Evelyn Sorgenfrei (29th place). The junior varsity girls were led by: Erin DiMarzo (7th place finish), Emma Mashburn (14th place) and Clarise Zajac (40th place).

The varsity boys scored 160 points, placed 6th as a team and were lead by all-region runner (top 15) Damian Jankowski’s 15th place finish. Damian fought hard to the finish, as he earned the final state qualifying place (top 15). The other varsity runners were: Jacob King (26th place), Michael Yamin (31st place), Noah Kellman (40th place), Forest Zhang (48th place), Barry Sabin (66th place) and Brendan Murray (68th place). The junior varsity boys had some outstanding efforts and were led by: Anthony Yun (6th place), Brady Crimmins (26th place), Joe DiVito (35th place), Kenzo Lord (37th place) and Alex DiVito (41st place).

Overall, 26 athletes beat their 2 mile goal times, and 41 athletes beat their season/career p.r.’s (personal record’s). This was the final race for the entire team, and a great day of racing by all!

Next on the schedule will be the MHSAA Division 1 State Championships at the Michigan International Speedway (Brooklyn, MI.) on Saturday, November 4th.


OAA Jamboree #3

On Thursday, October 19, the girls and boys cross country teams traveled to Oakland University for the OAA White Division Jamboree #3 League Championships. The varsity girls scored 68 points, placed 2nd as a team, and were lead by all-league runners (top 15): Shelby Jenkins (6th place), Delace Jia (12th place) and Abigail LeFlore (15th place). In the final overall league standings, the varsity girls finished 2nd in the league. The junior varsity girls scored 53 points, placed 2nd as a team and were led by Emma Mashburn's 1st place finish.

The varsity boys scored 117 points, placed 5th as a team, and were lead by all-league runner (top 15) Jacob King's 14th place finish. In the final overall league standings, the varsity boys finished 4th in the league. The junior varsity boys scored 32 points and placed 1st by just 1 point, over Rochester Hills Stoney Creek. The boys demonstrated "true" team/pack running as only :12.2 seconds separated the 1st runner to the 5th runner. The top 5 runners were: Anthony Yun (4th place), Alex DiVito (5th place), Jakar Dhillon (6th place), Brady Crimmins (7th place) and Joe DiVito (10th place).

Overall, 19 athletes beat their 2 mile goal times and 27 athletes beat their season/career p.r.'s (personal record's).

Oakland County Championships

On Saturday, October 7 the girls and boys cross country teams competed in the 58th Annual Oakland County Championships (Kensington Metropark - Milford, MI.). The varsity girls scored 325 points, placed 11th as a team (out of 35 schools) and were led by Shelby Jenkins’ 27th place finish. The junior varsity girls scored 312 points, placed 11th as a team (out of 24 schools) and were led by Emma Mashburn’s 24th place finish.

The varsity boys scored 495 points, placed 18th as a team (out of 38 schools) and were lead by Damian Jankowski’s 50th place finish. The junior varsity boys scored 257 points, placed 8th as a team (out of 30 schools) and were led by Anthony Yun’s 25th place finish.

Overall, one athlete (Thomas Raistrick) beat his 2 mile goal time, and ran a career p.r. (personal record). Also, one athlete (Shelby Jenkins, 27th place) earned all-county honors by placing in the top 30 of the varsity race.

OAA White Division Jamboree #2

On Tuesday, October 3rd the girls and boys cross country teams competed in their second league completion of the season. They traveled to Royal Oak High School for the OAA White Division Jamboree #2. The varsity girls scored 65 points, placed 2nd as a team and were lead by Shelby Jenkins' 6th place finish. The junior varsity girls scored 82 points, placed 2nd as a team and were led by Clarise Zajac's 12th place finish. The varsity boys scored 89 points, placed 4th as a team and were lead by Damian Jankowski's 8th place finish. The junior varsity boys scored 36 points, placed 2nd as a team and were led by Barry Sabin's 1st place finish. Overall, 10 athletes beat their 2 mile goal times, and 16 athletes beat their season/career p.r.'s (personal record's).

Coaching Legends Classic

On Saturday, September 30, the girls and boys cross country teams competed in the Coaching Legends Classic Invitational. The meet was held at Huron Meadows Metropark (Brighton, MI.). Overall, 30 athletes beat their 2 mile goal time and 33 out of the 34 Bloomfield Hills runners either ran season records or personal records. Outstanding day of racing!

The varsity girls scored 327 points, placed 14th as a team (out of 17 teams) and were led by Shelby Jenkins’ 35th place finish. The jv girls did not have a team score, and were led by Clarise Zajac’s 93rd place finish. The varsity boys scored 287 points, placed 12th as a team (out of 17 teams) and were led by Damian Jankowski’s 27th place finish. The jv boys scored 188 points, placed 6th as a team (out of 15 teams) and were led by Jackson Gregg’s 13th place finish. Black Hawks of the meet were:

MSU-Spartan Invitational Results

On Friday, September 15th the girls and boys cross country teams competed in the MSU-Spartan Invitational at Forest Akers East Golf Course (East Lansing, MI.). The MSU-Spartan Invitational brought in the best teams from the entire state, as well as from Ohio. Both varsity and jv teams ran in the Spartan Elite Division. The varsity girls scored 686 points, placed 25th as a team (out of 42 teams) and were lead by Shelby Jenkins’ 69th place finish. The jv girls scored 814 points, placed 29th as a team (out of 57 teams) and were lead by Emma Mashburn’s 24th place finish. The varsity boys scored 742 points, placed 30th as a team (out of 42 teams) and were lead by Damian Jankowski’s 101st place finish. The jv boys scored 695 points, placed 22nd as a team (out of 55 teams) and were lead by Jakar Dhillon’s 110th place finish. Overall, 5 athletes beat their 2 mile goal times (Luca Elena Barnett, DJ Cooper, Shelby Jenkins, Kenzo Lord and Mara Sabin). Also, 12 athletes ran either their season/career p.r.’s (personal records). Black Hawks of the meet were:

Averill Invitational Results

On Saturday, September 9th the girls and boys cross country teams competed in the Averill Invitational at Kensington Metropark (Milford, MI.). The varsity girls scored 201 points, placed 8th as a team (out of 19 teams) and were lead by Shelby Jenkins’ 14th place finish. The varsity boys scored 255 points, placed 9th as a team (out of 18 teams) and were lead by Damian Jankowski’s 27th place finish. No team scores were kept for the junior varsity races. Overall, 4 athletes beat their season/career p.r.’s (personal record) and they were selected “Black Hawks of the meet”.

OAA White Division Jamboree 1 Results

On Wednesday, September 6th the girls and boys cross country teams kicked-off the league competition of the 2017 season. They traveled to Royal Oak High School for the OAA White Division Jamboree #1. The varsity girls scored 56 points, placed 2nd as a team and were lead by Shelby Jenkins’ 5th place finish. The junior varsity girls scored 87 points, placed 3rd as a team and were led by Allison Fealk’s 3rd place finish. The varsity boys scored 95 points, placed 4th as a team and were lead by Jacob King’s 10th place finish. The junior varsity boys scored 85 points, placed 4th as a team and were led by Anthony Yun’s 6th place finish. Corunna Earlybird Invitational Results

Tuesday August 29th the girls and boys cross country teams kicked-off the 2017 season. They traveled to the Corunna Earlybird Invitational, held at the Shiawassee Fairgrounds (Corunna, MI.). The girls scored 70 points, placed third as a team, the top seven earned medals and Abigail LeFlore was selected the runner of the meet. The boys scored 83 points, placed third as team, the top eleven earned medals and Brendan Murray was selected runner of the meet. CLICK HERE for meet results
