Congratulations to our 2017 spring sports athletes and teams on their achievements!
Congratulations to the girls tennis team on their 3rd place finish at the MHSAA State Finals! The team finished just 3 points shy of 1st place. The #1 doubles team of Alexa Bernard and Maddie Fox won the State Championship this season. Tia Mukherjee (#1 singles) and the #4 doubles team of Lauren Ruby and Kaela Bernard finished as State Runners-Up!
The #3 ranked girls soccer team fell in the District Championship game to Troy High School on penalty kicks. The team accomplished a lot this season, and they provided their fans with many special moments this year!
The softball team pounded out hits and runs beating Groves in the first game of District playoffs, and lost in the District Championship game against Seaholm. The team continue to impress in the OAA!
The girls lacrosse team advanced to the Regional Championships, and was defeated by Birmingham in overtime. It was an extremely exciting championship game, with the Black Hawks coming up just a goal short!
The baseball team earned the title of Division Champions! They upset #3 ranked Groves in the pre-district, and lost to #6 ranked Brother Rice in the District Semifinal game.
The boys golf team just missed qualifying for the State Finals by only a handful of strokes. This was a very impressive finish for the team and new head coach Scott Hayes! We wish the best of luck to BHHS junior golfer Braedon Creal, who shot a 77 in the Regional Tournament and advanced to the MHSAA State Finals June 9-11 at Forest Akers Golf Course in East Lansing!
Girls Track and Field
Congratulations to the members of the girls track & field team that qualified for the MHSAA state finals: Olivia Lopez, Jayla Brown, Camryn Luyckx, Nyvia Lyles, Leah Moir and Briana Wooten.
The boys lacrosse team fell to Clarkston in the Regional tournament. They had a strong season with a young roster!
