Bloomfield Hills High School is a proud member of the National Thespian Society, which is open for any student to join. Graduates from our theatre program have gone on to perform on Broadway, regional theatre, television, and feature films.
The International Thespian Society (ITS) was established in 1929 by a group of college and high school teachers in Fairmont, West Virginia who committed to make schools a place for good theatre and to honor students who do theatre well. In the 81 years since its inception, International Thespian Society has grown into an international organization with over a million members worldwide. The Bloomfield Hills High School Troupe #8055 was proudly chartered on November 16, 1993 and again in June 2014. Each year we are privileged to induct students who show a commitment to our school theatre. Induction into the society is based on invitation, but is a voluntary commitment. Students must have accumulated ten ITS points to be invited, each point representing approximately ten hours of service in some area of theatre arts.
