News from West Hills

Dear West Hills Families,

We had a week filled with special activities and firsts! Monday was highlighted by our annual school-wide assembly kicking off our efforts to support Make a Difference Day. Next, we ALL gathered on the soccer field to celebrate WHMS' 50th birthday. Please take a moment to review both of these related articles and watch our video!

Tuesday marked another first! We are all incredibly excited to have Jen Teal join us at West Hills as our IB Teacher Leader. Her experience and enthusiasm are contagious, and I encourage you to read her bio in our Spotlight on the IB article.

Additionally, we now have 110 8th grade students committed to our annual 8th grade trip to Washington D.C. trip. It's official that we are going! It is still not too late to join this incredible learning opportunity as registration will remain open for another week or so. Please know that we would like this opportunity to be available for all students, and fortunately, our Warrior Activity Fund can help provide support.

Lastly, for those attending the WHMS Fall Festival this evening, don't forget to bring your bottles and cans to the event to support our Omega Warriors Robotics Team. If you can't be there tonight, they will also be in front of West Hills tomorrow morning collecting cans and bottles from 10:00 -12:00.

It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences. - Audre Lorde

It's Great to be a West Hills Warrior!
