BHHS Honors Alumni Athletes as Inductees into the Hall of Fame

BHHS Honors Alumni Athletes as Inductees into the Hall of Fame

The BHHS Hall of Fame inducted its class of 2025 honorees on September 26, 2025, just before the Homecoming football game. To qualify for induction into the BHHS Hall of Fame, a team or student-athlete must have graduated at least five years prior and achieved a state championship, state runner-up, or earned all-state recognition.

The Hall of Fame was established in 2022 through the collaborative efforts of the BHS Athletic Director, Mike Cowdrey, School Board Member, Paul Kolin, and the Bloomfield Hills Athletics Boosters organization. Kolin, who was instrumental in originating this tradition, explained, “As I attended different athletic events, I saw a lot of schools had a hall of fame, and as an advocate for student recognition, I thought we should acknowledge great student achievement here at BHHS.”

The ceremony began with Cowdrey welcoming distinguished guests, honorees, and their families. Cowdrey, Kolin, and Lacrosse Coach Andy Reed proudly spoke about the celebrants’ legacies. One inductee, Grace Dillon (BHHS Class of 2018), made history as the first student athlete to be honored for two different sports! Dillon earned First Team All-State in skiing and received several All-State honors in lacrosse.

The Bloomfield Hills Athletic Boosters, led by Debbie Guettler and Patsy Bugajewski, hosted a reception featuring a light dinner, time for mingling, and opportunities to take pictures with the personalized plaques. Additionally, a highlight of the evening was a tour of the newly opened Wellness Center, which impressed former student-athletes with its state-of-the-art facilities.

Following the ceremony, all honored athletes and their families were invited to the Homecoming football game with reserved seating in the stands. During the halftime show, the inductees were congratulated as their accomplishments were shared with the Homecoming crowd.

Congratulations to the Hall of Fame class of 2025!
