The BHHS Tri-M Honor Society, Chapter 7412, which is a club for music students, has been named the 2025–26 State Chapter of the Year by the National Association for Music Education.
This prestigious recognition reflects the outstanding dedication, leadership, musical excellence, and service demonstrated by the chapter based on events from 2024-25. The National Chapter of the Year Program celebrates chapters that exemplify excellence through meaningful service projects, strong student leadership, and active engagement within their school and community. Two such projects included hosting and running three major MSBOA festivals at BHHS each year, as well as continuing to run a major band and orchestra fund raiser: the Spring Stroll and auction.
According to Denise Wilkinson, President of the Michigan Music Education Association, “Receiving this honor for six consecutive years is an extraordinary accomplishment that speaks volumes about your program's consistency, passion, and excellence. This remarkable achievement has established Bloomfield Hills High School as a model of success and leadership within the Tri-M community.”
