The team this year is highlighted by girls varsity bowler Maddie Bottrell (grade 11), and boys varsity bowlers Ari Matzkin-Bridger (grade 11) and Jorge Eduardo Toress Mendoza (grade 11).  We have had a great start with multiple bowlers throwing their high games and everyone gaining great experience. The future for Black Hawk bowling looks bright!

Girls Hockey

The Black Hawks girls hockey team is currently sitting in 3rd place in their division. The team is led by hockey phenom Natalia Ben-Ezra (grade 10) who is 2nd in the league in goals (17) and 5th in assists (11), and Rylie Wolgin (grade 12) with 7 goals and 6 assists. The team's excellence isn't limited to the ice. The Black Hawks can be found raking leaves for neighbors or shopping, wrapping, and delivering gifts for several families in the community. Come see the excitement at the next home game: January 29th, 6 p.m., at Detroit Skating Club.

Boys Swim and Dive

The team started off their season under new leadership as Coach Ray Onisko joined grade 12 captains, Charlie Antone, Cameron Csernits, Aiden Goodwin, and Winston Nguyen and the coaching staff. The addition of grade 9 divers, Lochlan Doyle, Nil Hellin-Lopez, and Gabe McNally, and grade 9 swimmers, Gabe Bachmann, James Hawkins, Connor Murphy, Ari Young, and Mason Schroeder, will add depth and points to the already talented roster.

When the team faced off against Troy High School, it was a hard fought battle. Though the team lost. Miles Marx (grade 11) set a new pool record in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 21.54. In addition, championship qualifying times came from Charlie Antone, Francis Baker (IA grade 10,) Jack Conroy (grade 11), Seif Elbaradey (grade 11), Victor Malinski (grade 11), and Miles Marx.
