Congratulations to all jazz band students on their outstanding performance at State Jazz Festival on March 19. Students from around the area traveled to Bloomfield Hills to perform for an MSBOA panel of adjudicators.
- The Jazz Lab Band received a second division "excellent" rating
- The After Hours Combo received a second division "excellent" rating
- The Blues Klooz Combo received a first division "superior" rating
- The Phat 5 Combo received a first division "superior" rating
- The Jazz Ensemble received a first division "superior" rating
Congratulations to the many BHHS band and orchestra students who represented our community with pride at MSBOA State Solo and Ensemble Festival on March 16. Students qualify for the festival by earning a Division I "Superior" rating at the district level. Students participated in 41 total events, of which 28 earned a Division I "Superior" rating and 10 earned a Division II "Excellent." Congratulations, Black Hawk musicians!
