BHHS
Bloomfield Hills High School held its commencement ceremony at the Pine Knob Pavilion on June 4. It was a great celebration with four student addresses from Cameron Klein, Jackson Bragman, Ruby Stoller, and Justice Southward, speeches from Superintendent Patrick Watson, Board President Michelle Southward, and Interim Principal William Simms, and performances by the BHHS Orchestra and Choir. Bowers Academy
Bowers Academy held its commencement on Friday, June 2 at the beautiful grounds of Bowers Farm. Principal Aileen Myer addressed the 15 students, reminding them to, “have fun, take all the risks, and face the journey. Your possibilities are endless. Stay true to yourself.” As they handed out diplomas, the staff spoke about each student’s personal accomplishments. Students were also invited to share a few words about their own experiences. The event culminated as students ceremoniously transferred their tassels from right to left!
IA
International Academy also held its commencement ceremony at Pine Knob on June 4 following the BHHS graduation. The ceremony included a keynote address from Lynn Gibson and class addresses by Aditi Kashi, Alaina Newell, and Madeline Tinskey.
PREP
Bloomfield Hills Schools PREP Program held its annual commencement ceremony and End of Year Celebration at Booth Center. Current students, staff, friends, and family attended the event and were treated to a delightful afternoon of refreshments and speeches. PREP teacher Russell McCall, and Job Placement Supervisor Lisa Brown, spoke about each of the three graduates. Job Coach Nona Cleary presented each student and staff member with a memorable paper plate award.
Wing Lake
Wing Lake Development Center celebrated three graduates in their beautifully decorated gymnasium. In the company of friends, family, students, staff, and central office members, teacher Erin Obidzinski spoke about each student and presented the students and their families with completion certificates. The ceremony concluded with a picture slideshow of each graduate!
