And the Scarecrow Contest Winner Is...

This year's Fall Festival at Bowers School Farm hosted its first-ever Scarecrow Contest. Students, families, community partners, and organizations across Bloomfield Hills were invited to participate and put their scarecrow-making abilities to the test. The requirements for entering were simple: be creative and use your imagination.

All entries were displayed during the Fall Festival, and guests could vote online for their favorite. Submissions included scarecrows from Bowers Academy, Eastover Deaf and Hard of Hearing “DeafBlind,” Oakland County Master Gardeners, Oakland Rhythmic Gymnastics, West Hills Girls Basketball, and Wing Lake. “This was a fun contest for the community,” said Alan Jaros, Director of Bowers School Farm and the Johnson Nature Center. “Each scarecrow depicted something specific about the group that submitted it, giving viewers an opportunity to learn more about our community members.”

Bowers Farm announced the winner of the contest on Halloween day... Eastover D/HH! Congratulations to all for your great participation!
