BHHS Robotics Hosts Training Event for Middle School Teams
Middle school robotics teams from nearly 20 different area schools had the opportunity to attend the kickoff of the FIRST Tech Challenge season at Bloomfield Hills High School. The BHHS Bionic Black Hawks Robotics team hosted the Saturday morning event which featured training sessions, concessions, and the big FTC game reveal livestream.
Students, coaches, and family members could choose from various sessions taught by the BHHS high school team members and adult mentors. Some of the presentations were Robot Strategy, Robot Prototyping, Robot Tools and Components, Chassis and Wiring, Programming (both Blocks and Java), Engineering Notebook and Awards, and Help! I’m New to Robotics.
The team also sold morning and lunch concessions, featuring the team’s famous Bot Brew drink special.
After the training sessions, the teams filed into the auditorium where the Bionic Black Hawks showed a live stream of this season’s FTC pre-show and game reveal.
