Community Partnerships Strengthen Bloomfield Hills Schools

Bloomfield Hills Schools is deeply committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all students, staff, and families. This commitment is supported through strong, ongoing partnerships with the Bloomfield Township Police Department, Bloomfield Township Fire Department, and a positive working relationship with the West Bloomfield Police Department.

Two dedicated Schools Resource Officers, Officer Jennifer Lower and Officer Tom Riney, are stationed in the district to provide safety support. In addition to handling investigations and addressing security concerns, they serve as trusted partners and educators, building meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families. Their collaboration with district administrators also plays a key role in shaping and reviewing safety procedures across schools.

BHS and the BTPD also emphasize the importance of strong home partnerships. Parents and guardians play a vital role in reinforcing safety procedures and maintaining open lines of communication with district leaders. By working together with local first responders, families, and school teams, BHS continues to cultivate a secure and supportive learning environment for everyone.
