Bond & Sinking Fund Fall 2026 Update

As we begin the 2026–27 school year, we’re excited to share the work completed across Bloomfield Hills Schools this summer. Through careful planning and responsible stewardship of voter-approved funds, the Sinking Fund 2025 and Bond 2020 supported important improvements to our schools, including essential infrastructure, safety and security enhancements, and investments in technology and learning spaces. 

Eastover Elementary School

Eastover saw several major facility improvements this summer, including extensive parking lot construction with a new retention system, sidewalk replacements, and upgrades to the Fieldhouse, including a new mechanical unit and refinished gym floors. The Transportation Center was also expanded with improvements to bus service bays, the bus wash, and interior offices. 

Conant Elementary School

Conant received several improvements this summer focused on safety, security, and functionality. The parking lot was reconfigured to improve traffic flow, additional lighting was added, and sidewalks were expanded to improve pedestrian safety. Other updates included a new play area surface, replace select interior doors, and additional storage space to support instructional needs. 

 Way Elementary School

Way Elementary received important site improvements this summer. Sidewalk upgrades improved accessibility and movement throughout the site, while drainage improvements helped address water-related concerns.

Lone Pine Elementary School

The Lone Pine Fieldhouse received a new mechanical unit as part of ongoing facility upgrades, and had the gym floors refinished.

South Hills Middle School

This summer at South Hills Middle School, improvements were made to enhance campus functionality, sustainability, and long-term maintenance. Work included stormwater improvements at Chalmers Lake, courtyard upgrades to support year-round use and reduce maintenance, and roof replacements to protect building integrity and performance. 

Bloomfield Hills High School

This summer at Bloomfield Hills High School, several facility improvements were completed to enhance safety, maintain the campus, and support learning and athletics. Work included a new secure vestibule at the Andover entrance, tennis court resurfacing, continued bond-funded renovations in G Wing, courtyard clean up and drainage correction, and select roof replacements. 

Technology Update

This year, technology investments strengthened instruction, communication, safety, and operational efficiency across the district. These improvements include updated staff technology and refreshed devices for Bloomin’ Preschool classrooms and staff, as well as a student device refresh for DK–5th grade, providing a combination of iPads and Chromebooks to support learning across grade levels. Improvements also included audiovisual and infrastructure upgrades, enhanced digital signage, network and Wi-Fi upgrades, and improvements to security cameras, access control, and firewall systems. Additional upgrades were made at several schools, including auditorium AV enhancements at BHHS.

We are grateful to our community for supporting Sinking Fund 2025 and Bond 2020. These investments help us maintain and improve our schools, enhance safety, and provide the spaces, resources, and technology needed to support student learning and success.
