Bond Update- Winter 2024
Bloomin’ East and Fox Hills Demolition
The early childhood program that operated out of the Bloomin’ Preschool at Fox Hills (1661 Hunters Ridge Drive) has relocated to the newly renovated Bloomin' East (1101 Westview Road). An open house was held in August 2024 for students, staff, and community members to tour the new space.
The Fox Hills location will be demolished beginning in mid-to-late November and will take several weeks to complete. Following the demolition, the Fox Hills location will continue to have a parking lot and allow for considerable greenspace.
Bloomin’ West & Robotics
Public bidding for the renovation scheduled for Bloomin’ West (3100 Lone Pine Rd) is currently in process. Construction is set to begin in late winter to early spring, pending Board of Education approval. The renovation will include expanding the footprint of the early childhood programming and creating a dedicated space for the BHS robotics program.
BHHS Wellness Center & Gateway
Construction on the BHHS wellness center continues throughout the 2024-25 school year. Construction will start on the new gateway and restrooms in late winter. As construction on the wellness center, gateway, and restrooms take place throughout the year, please be prepared for intermittent disruptions to this portion of BHHS. The parking lot adjacent to the tennis courts will remain closed throughout construction. During the spring 2025 sports season, BHHS concessions will be relocated to a temporary solution for athletic games and spectators will be utilizing the restrooms indoors.
