Bond Update - Summer 2025

Bond Update - Summer 2025

As we move into the summer months, work funded by the community-supported Bond 2020 initiative continues across Bloomfield Hills Schools. These projects are designed to enhance learning environments, improve safety, and support the future growth of our district. Below is an overview of key updates and construction milestones.

Elementary Schools

Across our elementary schools, several building upgrades are underway, including new flooring throughout, updated cabinetry and millwork, fresh paint, and door replacements where needed. At Conant and Way Elementary, new student lockers will be installed to improve storage and organization. Both Eastover and Lone Pine will benefit from remodeled kitchen spaces, while Lone Pine will also receive new front landscaping and a redesigned entrance to improve both aesthetics and accessibility.

Bloomfield Hills High School

Technology updates are planned for staff and students at Bloomfield Hills High School, with refreshed devices arriving between now and the start of the 2025-26 school year.

The BHHS Wellness Center is receiving its final touches, including its new flooring and weight training equipment. Branding enhancements are underway, helping to reflect school spirit and pride throughout the space. We remain on track for a full opening of the BHHS wellness center in Fall 2025.

The new ticket booth and home stand restrooms at the BHHS stadium are progressing well. Footings have been poured, and the target opening remains on schedule for fall. Additionally, the Gateway Entrance is expected to be completed by September.

International Academy - OKMA

At IA - OKMA, construction will begin this summer on a secure front entrance and a remodeled front office. These upgrades are designed to improve both safety and efficiency for students, staff, and visitors.

Bloomin’ West Preschool & Robotics

A renovation project at Bloomin’ West will add additional classrooms in the back of the building to expand preschool and childcare offerings. Further infrastructure updates, including electrical cording improvements, will also take place. In addition, the dedicated space for the BHS robotics program is underway, with the roof currently being raised to accommodate and enhance the program.

Upcoming Projects

  • At the Franklin Campus, a remodel of the district’s operations offices is scheduled for January 2026.

We are grateful for the continued support of our staff and community as we invest in the future of Bloomfield Hills Schools.
