As we enter the final phases of the Bond 2020 initiative, Bloomfield Hills Schools remain on schedule and within budget, with efforts now focused on completing the remaining projects. These final investments will further enhance our learning environments, strengthen operational efficiency, and support the district’s long-term growth, reflecting the community’s continued commitment to our students and schools.

Transportation Department and Site Work

Major renovations and expansion work are planned for Summer 2026, including updates to the transportation parking lot and drive, as well as improvements to the Eastover lot that connects to the transportation facility. The facility will also receive new cabling, access control, video surveillance, and network infrastructure upgrades. In addition, the Transportation Department will see a refreshed and modernized space, with new vehicle lifts, a bus wash, and renovated office and staff lounge areas.

Franklin Building

Robotics vacated this space in December 2025 to allow construction to begin. Work is now underway in the front office area, which will become the new home for Maintenance and Operations. This location will also receive new cabling, access control, video surveillance, and full network implementation.

Robotics

Work on a dedicated space for the BHS robotics program continues, with significant progress made in both the workshop and field areas. Robotics teams have conducted a few site visits to review, discuss, and envision the new spaces.

Booth Center

The Booth Center is scheduled for mechanical and electrical upgrades in summer 2026. The following technology upgrades will also take place:

  • A new back-up generator for the Network Operation Center
  • New cabling
  • Firewall upgrades
  • Datacenter storage and disaster recovery upgrades
  • Boardroom technology upgrades

We are deeply grateful for the continued support of our staff, students, and community as we complete this final year of bond work and invest in the future of Bloomfield Hills Schools.
