Brooke Thompson Takes Gold in Deaflympics Relay

Congratulations to Brooke Thompson (11th grade) of Bloomfield Hills Schools who won a gold medal at the Deaflympics in Brazil! Thompson, who attends International Academy-Central, swam as part of the Women's 4 X 100 Meter Freestyle relay team who came from behind to take first place in the race. Teammates Carli Cronk, Samantha Fujii, and Kaitlyn Weatherby joined Thompson on the podium.

Thompson also placed 8th in the 200M Freestyle. Swimming competitions continue through May 9. More information and the schedule can be found at www.deaflympics.com.
