Celebrating Distinguished Service Award Recipients

This award recognizes staff members, community members, parents, Board members, and alumni who go above and beyond in support of Bloomfield Hills Schools. For the 2025-26 school year, three outstanding members of our school community have been selected to receive this honor.

One of this year’s Distinguished Service Award recipients is Nick Riggs at Bloomfield Hills High School. Riggs is widely known for his willingness to step in and support colleagues when needed. Through the strong relationships he has built with students, families, and staff, Riggs fosters an environment that is welcoming and supportive. His compassion and commitment leave a lasting and positive impression on our school community.

The next recipient for the Distinguished Service Award is Bridget Roach at Eastover Elementary. Roach takes the time to know as much as she can about the students with whom she works, and is known for customizing her craft in teaching and supporting these students. Roach’s patience, professionalism, and calm demeanor create a trusting environment where every student can thrive.

The final recipient of the Distinguished Service Award is Jenny Rossi at Way Elementary. Rossi consistently goes the extra mile to create a caring, welcoming atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported. Rossi’s individualized approach extends to families and staff as well. Rossi partners closely with caregivers, maintains consistent communication, and coordinates seamlessly with teachers and support personnel to build predictable, structured daily supports. Rossi’s deep knowledge of the school allows her to guide new hires while inspiring veteran teachers, creating a culture of collaboration and excellence. Having devoted her entire career to Way, Rossi has both shaped and been shaped by the community, impacting every constituent with her thoughtfulness, dedication, and heart. The school is stronger and more unified because of her leadership.
