Elementary Students Enjoy Snowy Recess

The first snowfall prompted the creation of dozens of snowpeople of all shapes and sizes at the Conant Elementary playground. “The most fun is decorating the snowman with leaves and sticks and nuts,” said John Galera (grade K). Students at the elementary levels typically have two outdoor recess times each day even in the winter.

Adult staff at the school monitor the students as they play, keeping everyone safe during all seasons while they are having fun.

Sophia Schuldt, who was creating a huge snowball with kindergarten classmates Wren Day and Lily Yarbrough, exclaimed, “My favorite part is making snowmen because you get to do it with your friends!”
