BHS Celebrates Its Interpreters for the Deaf Community

Happy Interpreter Appreciation Day!

Bloomfield Hills Schools is home to the Oakland County Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program. On May 4, the district celebrated our team of 15 full-time interpreters and countless other interpreter substitutes, who work daily to support our students through barrier-free communication that allows all students and the community to engage and connect.

As a partner of the Deaf community, interpreters provide access and form a bridge of communication, impacting the daily lives of many. We celebrate you every day, but this week, we want to thank you for your invaluable support to both staff and students.
