May 24: Move Up Day for 5th Grade Students

Bloomfield Hills Schools will be hosting Move-Up Day this school year. As part of Move-Up Day, fifth grade students will spend time at their new middle school. For current fifth through eighth-graders, Move-Up Day is Friday, May 24, which is also a 1/2 day of school.

Here is how the Move Up Day experience will work for 5th graders:

  • 5th Graders from Eastover and Way: North Hills will host incoming 5th graders from Eastover and Way on Move-Up Day. Those students should report to their elementary school (either Eastover or Way) at the regular time, and they will be brought by bus to North Hills as a group. 5th-grade families are responsible for arranging the pick-up of their children at North Hills at 11:10 a.m. Click HERE for a letter from North Hills Principal, Jason Rubel, for details regarding Move-Up Day for current 5th graders.

  • 5th Graders from Conant and Lone Pine: South Hills will host incoming 5th Graders from Conant and Way on Move-Up Day. Those students should report to their elementary school (either Conant or Way) at the regular time, and they will be brought by bus (Lone Pine) or walk (Conant) to South Hills as a group. 5th-grade families are responsible for arranging the pick-up of their children at South Hills at 11:10 a.m. Click HERE for a letter from South Hills Principal, Randy English, for details regarding Move-Up Day for current 5th graders.
