Video submission overview:
- Videos must be in MP4 or MOV formats. Most iPhones, Android phones, or video cameras are capable. Videos must follow the minimum content requirements (see flyer for detailed information).
- A parent/guardian signed, completed media release form must accompany the submitted video.
- Teacher appreciation videos may be submitted using the online form. Creation of a Google account may be required for video submission. Please do not e-mail videos.
For each teacher named in the video, MDE will confirm that the teacher is in good standing with state certification. Each approved video will be edited for appropriate length, web-optimized, and subtitled. Finally, school districts will be notified in advance of teachers in their district being featured.
Submitted videos will be posted on this webpage and the MDE YouTube channel. The Office of Educator Excellence's (@MIeducator) Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) social media pages will be promoting the videos throughout the month of May.
