One-Way Transportation for Middle School Away Athletic Contests

One-Way Transportation for Middle School Away Athletic Contests

As we look ahead to the spring athletics season, we are excited to share that Bloomfield Hills Schools will provide one-way bus transportation to away athletic contests.

Thanks to our current staffing structure, we are able to offer one-way bus transportation for middle school student-athletes this spring. This means students will be transported to their games by bus, and families will be responsible for providing transportation home following the event.

To help ensure a safe and positive experience for all students, we ask that families review the following expectations with their child:

  • Coaches will not be on the bus, so students are expected to follow all directions from the bus driver.
  • Students must adhere to the Student Code of Conduct and Athletic Code of Conduct while riding the bus.
  • Please review the bus expectations.
  • No eating or drinking is permitted on the bus.
  • Students are expected to clean up after themselves and help keep the bus environment respectful for all.
  • In some cases, teams may share transportation with other BHS teams traveling to nearby locations.
  • Students are expected to be on the bus by 3:39 p.m. and buses will depart promptly at 3:40 p.m.
  • To foster team camaraderie, students are expected to travel together by bus to the athletic contests. If your student is unable to ride the bus, please contact the coach in advance to discuss arrangements.

We are proud to be able to offer this opportunity for our middle school athletes and hope it helps support participation and team connection.

As we continue to evaluate our transportation options, our goal is to continue to offer one-way athletic transportation in the 2026-27 school year, pending staff availability. Middle School Athletic Coordinators will communicate transportation availability prior to each season moving forward.

Thank you for your partnership in helping us create a safe, positive, and supportive experience for all student-athletes.
