Student Art on Display at Oakland Schools

Bloomfield Hills Schools is proud to announce that K-12 student artwork is being displayed at the Oakland Intermediate School District building. The display will be available until November 30, 2022. Art teachers from every Bloomfield Hills School chose exemplary pieces of student art to be showcased. Members of the community are encouraged to visit the exhibit. The building, located at 2111 Pontiac Lake Road in Waterford, is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The students’ art can be found in open public viewing areas, and in Mr. Gutman’s office. If you would like to view the art of four BHS students whose work is displayed in Mr. Gutman’s office, please make arrangements in advance by calling Mr. Gutman’s secretary, Rhonda Hervey, at 248-209-2517. The following BHS student work is in Mr. Gutman’s office: Robin Beaney, BHHS grade 12; Lillian Bujoll, BHHS grade 9; Hayliana Brown, Conant grade 2; and Crosby Ziaja, Eastover grade 1.

When viewing student art, please take a moment to fill out and return a See Think Wonder form, which you will find at the receptionist’s desk. After sharing your thoughts, please put the form into the box. At the end of the display, the forms will be returned to the art teachers, and the students will get a chance to read the visitors’ notes.

Oakland Schools encourages families to view the art exhibits and celebrate the featured students’ artistic and creative achievements during regular office hours.

Congratulations to the many student artists across BHS whose work is displayed at Oakland Schools, and thank you to our art educators for inspiring and providing creative venues for our students to thrive!
