The September 29, 2025 Board of Education Meeting Staff Recap: 

  • The Board of Education had general discussion regarding the below items: 
    • Strategic Planning Overview (presentation provided by Thru Consulting) 
    • Board Committee Reports 
  • The Special Recognition portion of the meeting included: 
    • Celebrating Success, National Merit Semifinalists: Armaan Gugneja, Naisha Doshi, Mayas Smith, and Uzair Musharraf 
    • Celebrating Success, National Merit Commended: Julian Bilotti, Ananya Dakarapu, Arman Mahmud, Alaena Mullarky, Marcus Wong, William Zhang
    • Board Intern Program Appointment: Saaj Aujla, Valeria Embarcadero Perez, Carissa Hurnevich, Zeena Jandali, Evelyn Keough, Kobin Kothari, Krish Patel, Audrey Ng, Rishiv Ramesh, Addy Sherman, Katie Tadesse, Sophia Tomina and  Brady Winston 
  • The following reports were provided: 
    • Superintendent Rick West provided a Superintendent's Report. 
    • Board of Education Vice-President Tareq Falah provided a Board President’s Report. 
  • The Board of Education approved all Consent Agenda items. 
  • The board business portion of the meeting included: 
    • The Board of Education approved the Booth Center Generator Replacement in the amount of $87,000, to be paid from the Bond Fund, as presented.
    • The Board of Education approved the not-to-exceed purchase of furniture totaling $152,866.07 for the procurement of furniture, delivery and installation services for the elementary buildings and Model Center to be paid from the Bond Fund, as presented.
    • The Board of Education approved the bid for moving services to Premier Relocations in the amount not to exceed $124,280 for the physical move of Robotics to the new facility to be paid from the Bond Fund.
    • The Board of Education approved the adoption of Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green as a whole-class nonfiction resource for the Global Studies and Social Action through Literature course at Bloomfield Hills High School in the amount of $650 and pursuant to Board Policy 3004, as presented.
    • The Board of Education appointed Carolyn Noble as the voting delegate representing Bloomfield Hills Schools at the Michigan Association of School Boards 2025 Delegates Assembly held at 7 p.m. on October 23, 2025, in Acme.
