Board of Education Meeting Recap

The September 23, 2024 Board of Education Meeting Staff Recap: 

• The celebrating successes portion of the meeting included: 

  • Appointments to the Board Intern Program were presented by Trustee Paul Kolin. Ayah Maskoun and Adeline Sherman will be the 2024-25 Board Interns.

  • Appointments to the Board Advisory Council were presented by Trustee Paul Kolin. Benjamin Guettler, Giselle Haddad, Ava Moyer, Jordan Newman, Katie Tadesse, and Brady Wilson will be on the 2024-25 Board Advisory Council.

  • Dr. Dan Hartley celebrated Dylan Psenka and Ashley Shulkin as being named National Scholastic Art Award Medalists.

  • Athletic Director Mike Cowdrey celebrated BHHS teacher and former Swim & Dive Coach David Zulkeiwski for being inducted into the Michigan High School Coaches’ Association Hall of Fame.

• The administrative appointment portion of the meeting included: 

  • Assistant Superintendent of Learning Services, Mr. Todd Bidlack, presented Mr. Kenny O’Shaughnessy as the associate principal of South Hills Middle School. 

• The board business portion of the meeting included: 

  • Approval of Bid Package 8.4: Bloomfield Hills High School Stadium Entrance and Home Restrooms.

  • Appointment of Board Secretary Carolyn Noble as the BHS voting delegate for the Michigan Association of School Boards 2024 Delegate Assembly on Thursday, October 24, 2024.
