Congratulations to BHHS Teacher, David Zulkiewski, for receiving the Outstanding Service Award from the Michigan Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association! This award was created to recognize an individual or group outside of the coaching profession for exceptional service, leadership, and contributions to swimming and/or diving within the state. To be considered for this award, a person must be presently outside of the coaching profession and have demonstrated over the years, an interest in the development, and promotion of aquatic programs in Michigan.
Since retiring from coaching in 2021, Zulkiewski has continued to be recognized for his contributions to swimming at the state and national level. He received the MISCA Matt Mann Award in 2019 for his coaching success, was inducted into the Michigan High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2024, and earned the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association Outstanding Service Award the same year.
