The Dare to Care initiative, introduced by Superintendent West, celebrates those who go above and beyond to show kindness, empathy, and support within our school community.
Jacob Waxenburg said, " I want to recognize Mr. Kevin Shallow, the 4th-grade teacher at Lone Pine Elementary, for his kindness and support. As the building substitute, I’ve seen his open-door approach firsthand. He lets me interact with his class and even teach math, knowing my love for numbers. Mr. Shallow exemplifies CARE: Connect, Acknowledge, Respect, and Engage. He genuinely cares about his students and makes everyone feel valued. His positivity and dedication inspire both students and colleagues. Thank you, Mr. Shallow, for all you’ve done for me and your class this year. "
